This script style lettering was created as part of a typeface development project based on the calligraphic letter forms of seventeenth and eighteenth century. The quill or angled nib pens used to create such scripts allows for both thick and thin sections, which it was important to emulate. The weight of these thick and thin areas, as well as the angle of the strokes should be as uniform as possible when considering calligraphy.
